Warranty policies and the accessibility of service points are factors consumers prioritize when choosing an electric motorbike, alongside design, performance, travel range, and operating costs.
VinFast applies a 6-year warranty period for electric motorbike models using lfp batteries and an 8-year warranty for the batteries, with unlimited kilometers. According to the company, this after-sales policy, coupled with an expanded service system, aims to meet the growing demand for vehicles in the market.
VinFast states it has manufactured nearly 1,5 million electric motorbikes since entering the market.

Unlimited mileage warranty
Experiences of relatives influenced Ngo Manh Quan, a graphic designer from Hanoi, to choose a VinFast electric motorbike. Beyond daily convenience, he noted that the vehicle and battery warranty policies were key considerations during his purchase.
According to Quan, the unlimited kilometer warranty is suitable for individuals who frequently use their vehicles, commute long distances, regularly meet clients, or use their motorbikes for work. "Should any damage occur, the official system inspects and addresses the issue. This provides users with a clear point of contact for support", Quan stated.
Beyond the warranty period, the accessibility of after-sales services also impacts the vehicle ownership experience. According to Quan, having service locations near home or work makes it more convenient for owners when maintenance or inspections are needed. VinFast currently boasts one of the largest distribution systems, with nearly 800 facilities nationwide.

Expanding the service system
According to information from VinFast, technicians at official service centers are trained by the company to use specialized equipment for vehicle inspections. Vehicle history is also managed on a nationwide system, allowing technicians to track previous inspections when a vehicle is brought to a different facility.
This management approach also supports users who relocate or change their maintenance location, as the vehicle's inspection history remains stored in the system.
"I want to know which parts are still in good condition, which need replacement, and when the next inspection should be. Receiving specific advice helps me manage both my time and the money I need to prepare", Quan explained.
As recommended in the company's documentation, routine maintenance includes inspecting components such as brakes, tires, and shock absorbers, and identifying items requiring adjustment during use. Extending the warranty period, offering unlimited mileage, and expanding the service network are integral to VinFast's after-sales policy, aiming to attract users and enhance competitiveness in the electric motorbike segment.
