For the first time in the two-wheel electric vehicle sector, a technology startup is organizing a competition to find suitable vehicle design ideas for Vietnamese consumers, offering prizes up to 265 million VND across two main categories.
The Aves Future Mobility Challenge seeks to honor new electric motorcycle designs that combine aesthetic appeal with practical functionality. Organizers anticipate that these designs will be highly applicable and capable of real-world implementation in future commercial vehicle models.
Aves organizes the competition, with VnExpress as a partner. It features two main categories: Application Design and Idea Design.

The Application Design category offers three awards: Excellent (100 million VND), Impressive (60 million VND), and Potential (40 million VND). These prizes include a voucher for an Aves electric motorcycle. This category targets professional designers, engineers, and students with expertise in the field and a deep understanding of Vietnamese commuting needs. Submissions must fully demonstrate the design development process, including: initial ideas, sketches, 2D/3D designs, forms, perspectives, color schemes, materials, functionality, and user experience.
The Idea Design category also features three awards, valued at 30 million, 15 million, and 10 million VND, respectively. For this category, organizers aim to discover unique, engaging design concepts that align with user aesthetics. Contestants do not require specialized design expertise to submit entries; they only need to focus on their ideas, using basic AI tools via prompts to bring them to fruition.

A contestant or team may register for both categories simultaneously. Additionally, the Aves Future Mobility Challenge includes a Public Vote award, valued at 10 million VND, for the entry with the highest number of votes.
A representative from the judging panel stated that all entries will be evaluated independently, scored on a maximum 100-point scale. Shortlisted contestants will present their designs and answer questions directly from the judging panel.
The Aves Future Mobility Challenge 2026 opened its registration and submission portal at 8:00 AM on 21/9, accepting entries until 27/10. The submission portal will close on 28/10, with community voting open until 4/11. The organizers anticipate holding the award ceremony on 5/12 in Hanoi.
The competition is organized by Aves Green Energy and Technology Joint Stock Company, which focuses on three sectors: smart electric vehicles, renewable energy, and IoT devices. In the vehicle segment, Aves plans to develop two-wheel and three-wheel electric vehicles, as well as electric bicycles. The company aims to launch its first products by mid-2027.
