The new-generation GLC EV, built on EQ technology, shares the familiar silhouette of the current internal combustion engine GLC but features redesigned front and rear bumpers. A key highlight is the grille, illuminated by 942 LED pixels. The new headlights incorporate Mercedes' signature star-shaped LED daytime running lights. The LED taillights also feature a similar star pattern, complemented by a two-piece rear spoiler.
The interior of the 2026 GLC EV is packed with technology for the electric age. The centerpiece is the new 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, spanning the entire width of the dashboard. A new ambient lighting system integrates into the sunroof, reminiscent of Rolls-Royce's starlight headliner. Flanking the large screen are newly designed circular air vents, with two rectangular vents positioned below. The center console features two cupholders and two wireless charging pads, embodying Mercedes' minimalist design philosophy.
The 2026 GLC's wheelbase measures 2,972 mm, 80 mm longer than the internal combustion engine version. This increase provides additional legroom and headroom for both rows of seats. The rear cargo area offers 570 liters of space, supplemented by a 128-liter front trunk.
All GLC EV variants share the same 94 kWh battery pack. The top-tier GLC 400 4MATIC boasts 483 horsepower from its dual electric motors, with four additional versions slated for release, according to Mercedes.
While the official range is yet to be announced, Mercedes claims the GLC EV with EQ Tech can travel 713 km on a single charge based on the WLTP standard. Thanks to its new-generation battery, the GLC EV supports DC fast charging up to 330 kW, adding 300 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Customers can order the GLC EV with the Airmatic air suspension system, similar to the S-Class, equipped with rear-axle steering and adaptive suspension. The improved regenerative braking system offers four levels of energy recovery, with the highest setting providing up to 300 kW of regenerative power.
The new-generation Mercedes GLC EV will be available in multiple markets, with pricing to be announced in the first half of 2026. The Munich Motor Show 2025 will take place in Germany from 8/9.
