A motorcycle was caught on camera speeding against traffic on the Nhat Tan Bridge in a lane closest to the median divider. The driver with the dashcam was startled as the motorcycle headed directly towards their vehicle in the darkness. Fortunately, a collision was avoided.

The Nhat Tan Bridge, part of the route from the city center to Noi Bai Airport, has a 90 km/h speed limit in the lane nearest the divider. Even a minor head-on collision in this area could be catastrophic. This stretch of road has seen several serious accidents involving motorcycles driving against traffic and colliding with cars. Driving against traffic at night with limited visibility makes it even more challenging for drivers to react.

Decree 168/2024 imposes a fine of 4-6 million VND and deducts two points from the driver's license for driving a motorcycle against traffic.
