Motorcyclist crashes into car, then hits two other motorcycles

A motorcyclist ran a red light and hit the side of a car, sending the rider flying into two other motorcycles.

At an intersection in Pingtung County on the afternoon of 18/7, a speeding motorcyclist ran a red light and collided with a BMW making a left turn. The motorcyclist was launched into the air, landing on three people on two other motorcycles who were stopped at the red light.

According to local police, 4 people were injured and taken to the hospital. One person suffered a broken bone, while the others sustained minor injuries.

Initial investigations indicate that none of those involved were under the influence of alcohol. The motorcyclist who ran the red light appears to be at fault.
