A series of new car models continue to heat up the market as the third quarter begins, most of which are imported. Here are the newcomers joining the Vietnamese car market in July:
BYD Atto 2
BYD's 4th high-riding model, the Atto 2, will enter the Vietnamese market on 4/7. The all-electric BYD Atto 2 is positioned in the B-segment urban crossover SUV segment, competing with names like the Toyota Yaris Cross, Mitsubishi Xforce, and VinFast VF 6.

Targeting younger customers, the Atto 2 features a more dynamic exterior design with more accents than its predecessor, the Atto 3. It emphasizes a sporty, dynamic look with panels on the front and side bumpers.
The cabin features a large 12.8-inch central screen that can rotate 90 degrees, containing most of the vehicle's control functions. Other standard features include automatic climate control and leather seats.
The Atto 2 offers two battery options: a 32 kWh battery with a range of 301 km (CLTC standard) or a 45.12 kWh battery with a range of 401 km. The configuration for the Vietnamese market remains undisclosed. According to dealers, the BYD Atto 2 is equipped with a front-axle motor producing 174 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque.
Special Edition Peugeot 408
To commemorate the 215th anniversary of the Peugeot brand, its Vietnamese distributor, Thaco, will introduce the 408 Legend Edition on 4/7. The car will continue to be assembled domestically, like other Peugeot models already sold in Vietnam.

According to dealership staff, the Peugeot 408 Legend Edition has some design highlights, such as a special gray exterior color, a 215th-anniversary logo on the rear, and a lion emblem on the orange leather headrests.
Apart from these details, the car retains the same features as the top-of-the-line GT version, priced at 1.249 billion VND. It features a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 218 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels. The Peugeot 408 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds.
Audi Q6 e-tron
Audi's second all-electric high-riding model, the Q6 e-tron, will be available in early July. The distributor has not yet revealed the vehicle's configuration for the Vietnamese market.
Internationally, the Q6 e-tron is developed based on the Volkswagen Group's premium platform electric (PPE) platform. This platform is also used for the Porsche Macan EV.

The Audi Q6 e-tron features a sporty exterior with a closed single-frame grille and accented air intakes. The interior is equipped with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen integrated with Google services, and a dedicated 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger. The sound system is a B&O with 20 speakers.
In Europe, the Q6 e-tron comes with a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery pack offering a range of 625 km. The battery supports 270 kW DC fast charging. The standard AC charger is 11 kW, with an optional 22 kW charger available.
Lynk & Co 06 Core Plus
The Lynk & Co B-segment CUV will get a more affordable version called the Core Plus, expected to launch on 5/7. Currently, the 06 is sold in a single Hyper Pro version priced at 729 million VND.

According to dealership staff, the Lynk & Co 06 Core Plus retains the same design as the previously sold version. The difference lies in the removal of some features to lower the price. For example, the car lacks advanced ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and a 360-degree camera.
The Core Plus version also omits features like automatic wipers, heated exterior mirrors, and keyless entry. It retains the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 178 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque.
Mercedes Vehicles
The German luxury carmaker is holding a private exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City to introduce upgraded versions of the GLS, Maybach GLS 600, and SL 63 S E Performance. All these vehicles are imported.
The GLS and Maybach GLS 600 are already familiar to Vietnamese customers. According to dealers, these large SUVs receive minor design tweaks and equipment upgrades in the new versions, while their engines remain unchanged.

The new generation Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance is making its debut in Vietnam. This legendary roadster boasts a modern look, blending luxury and speed. It comes in a standard 2+2 seating configuration.
The SL 63 S E Performance is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 mild-hybrid engine (M139) supplemented by a 48V electric motor. This engine is also found in the AMG 45 series, but instead of a transverse layout, the M139 in the SL is longitudinally mounted, thanks to the long hood and to better suit the car's rear-wheel-drive configuration.
The SL 43's engine inherits the electric turbocharging technology from the Mercedes Formula 1 team's cars. It produces 381 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque. Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
