The Vietnamese auto market continues to heat up with a series of new arrivals. These models are either making their first appearance or are mid-cycle upgrades.
Volkswagen Touareg 2025
The mid-cycle refresh of the Touareg will launch in Vietnam on 8/8, coinciding with the opening of the German automaker's first Urban Store in Ho Chi Minh City. The vehicle will continue to be imported from Slovakia.
The 2025 Volkswagen Touareg features a redesigned exterior. The most noticeable changes are the redesigned headlights and grille. At the rear, the LED taillights have a horizontal strip, a current trend in the auto market.

The interior remains largely unchanged in terms of layout. The key differences from the previous version are new materials used for the seats, dashboard, and door panels.
In the European market, the upgraded Touareg is equipped with a 3.0 V6 turbocharged engine with two options: gasoline, pure diesel, or with the addition of an electric motor and an external charging plug-in hybrid. The pure gasoline version has 335 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm.
The current version of the Touareg in Vietnam uses a 2.0 turbocharged engine producing 251 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. It features an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Ford Territory 2025
After nearly three years on the Vietnamese market, the Ford Territory is getting a mid-cycle refresh. The car is expected to launch on 15/8 in Hanoi.
The biggest change in the mid-cycle upgraded Ford Territory is the exterior. The split headlight and daytime running light setup has been replaced with a design that connects to the grille. The grille also has a new look with horizontal chrome accents. The rear of the car remains largely unchanged.

The dimensions of the new Territory remain the same, with a length of 4,685 mm, but it now features new 19-inch wheels. The interior layout remains the same, with a 12.3-inch dual-screen digital cockpit. Changes in features for the Vietnamese market are not yet known.
According to dealers, the new Territory retains the front-wheel drive system and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission of its predecessor. The accompanying engine is a 1.5 EcoBoost, producing 160 horsepower and 248 Nm of torque.
Ford Mustang Mach-E
For the first time in 30 years in Vietnam, Ford is selling an all-electric car. The upcoming model is the Mustang Mach-E, imported from the US.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E first debuted in 2019. This product is considered a high-riding, all-electric variant of the Mustang sports sedan. In the US, the Ford model has a total of four versions, priced between 37,995 and 58,490 USD. It is not yet clear which version will be distributed in Vietnam.

There are two battery options for Ford's all-electric model. With the rear-wheel drive configuration and the standard 73 kWh battery, the car has a range of about 418 km. With the same configuration but with all-wheel drive, the range is 386 km.
With the extended-range 88 kWh battery and all-wheel drive, the car's range is about 482 km. The manufacturer provides an 11 kW charger or a 115-150 kW fast charger. Using a 48 Ah charger and a 240 V outlet, the Mustang Mach-E's full charging time is about 7.7-7.8 hours.
With the standard battery, the car's electric motor has 264 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque with rear-wheel drive, and 325 horsepower and 678 Nm of torque with all-wheel drive. The extended-range battery version with all-wheel drive has two electric motors with a combined output of 370 horsepower and 678 Nm of torque.
VinFast Limo Green
On 5/8, VinFast delivered the first Limo Green models to a group of corporate customers and individual transport businesses. This was also the first time the commercial version of VinFast's 7-seat all-electric MPV appeared before the public.

The VinFast Limo Green's design is neutral, not too flashy. As a version aimed at the service business group prioritizing low ownership costs, the car's interior is quite basic, mainly using plastic and fabric materials.
The Vietnamese automaker equipped the Limo Green with a front-wheel drive electric motor, producing 201 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. The car is fitted with a 60.13 kWh LFP battery pack for a range of 450 km. The battery supports 80 kW DC fast charging, with a charging time of 10-70% in 30 minutes. A standard 7.2 kW AC charger is included.
The Limo Green is sold in one version, priced at 749 million VND. The car competes with rivals in the mid-size MPV segment, such as the GAC M6 Pro, Hyundai Custin, and BYD M6.
