The 2025 Forester showcases a refined design compared to its predecessor. It features a new grille, LED daytime running lights connected by a silver bar, redesigned wheel arches for better aerodynamics, new 18-inch wheels, LED taillights, and a bolder rear bumper.
The redesigned interior features a prominent 11.6-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Behind the steering wheel is an analog gauge cluster with an integrated LCD screen displaying vehicle information. The front seats have an ergonomic design, with the driver’s seat offering 10-way power adjustment.
The new generation Forester is powered by a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated boxer engine, producing 182 horsepower and 247 Nm of torque at 3,700 rpm. It's paired with a CVT transmission and all-wheel drive. In tests, the 2025 Forester accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 205 km/h.
The new Forester features Subaru's latest ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), including: adaptive headlights that steer with the direction of travel, front and rear automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree camera, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, active lane centering, lead vehicle start alert, and pre-collision throttle management.
The sixth-generation Subaru Forester debuted at GIIAS 2025. With its new design, powerful engine, and off-road capabilities, the Forester aims to compete with rivals in its segment, such as the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-60, and the new Mitsubishi Destinator.
