Westen Chaplin, a YouTuber with 4.4 million subscribers, decided to do something different with his Dodge pickup truck. Instead of installing aggressive body kits or modifying the engine for increased power, he reversed the layout, placing the truck bed at the front and the cab at the rear.
The idea sounds simple, but the execution was complex. Chaplin and his team separated the cab from the original chassis and rotated everything. The engine remained at the front, but now resided in the truck bed. To make the steering and brakes functional, the steering column, brake lines, and pedals were all repositioned.
Less than 200 meters from Chaplin's workshop, he was pulled over by the police. In the video, Chaplin can be heard explaining to the officers that the truck had functioning headlights and turn signals, and was both legal and insured.
After the encounter with the two amicable police officers, Chaplin enjoyed a trouble-free drive, even passing several police patrol cars without incident.
