The decision was announced on 5/8. However, the company did not specify the reason for this decision. The Jimny Nomade 5 is the newest model in the company's compact SUV lineup.
The previous order suspension in February was due to overwhelming demand exceeding production capacity. Suzuki aimed to produce 1,200 vehicles per month but received 50,000 orders in just four days. This meant customers would have to wait approximately 3.5 years to receive their new Jimny.

The Jimny Nomade is manufactured in India and imported into Japan. Faced with the unexpected surge in demand, Suzuki planned to increase production starting in July. The company has not disclosed how the delivery suspension will affect this plan.
The increased demand for the Suzuki Jimny Nomade stems from its longer chassis and additional doors, offering practicality and comfort without sacrificing its rugged appearance. 340 mm longer than the three-door version, the Jimny Nomade retains a compact size with a total length of 3,890 mm.
The Jimny Nomade is currently produced at Suzuki's Gurugram plant in Haryana, India, and has begun exporting to markets beyond Japan, including Southeast Asia, South Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.
In Japan, Suzuki surpassed Mercedes to become the largest oto importer in June, thanks to two models: the Jimny Nomade and the Fronx. Suzuki imported 4,780 vehicles into Japan in June, a 230-fold increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to data released on 4/7 by the Japan Automobile Importers Association (JAIA). The Japanese automaker also held this position in April.
