The 10 best-selling motorcycle brands globally in 2025

Honda dominates the two-wheel vehicle market with approximately 20,2 million units sold, followed by India's Hero MotorCorp with 5,9 million, and Yamaha with 4,8 million units.

Asia is the world's largest consumer of motorcycles, and most of the best-selling brands originate from this region. In the list of the top 10 global sales leaders for 2025, nine brands are from Eastern countries.

Honda continues to assert its position as the industry's leading player, selling approximately 20,2 million units in 2025. This sales volume significantly outpaces its rivals, more than tripling that of its closest competitor.

Over the past 50 years, Honda has consistently maintained its top sales position. With strong brand recognition, a diverse product range, and quick adaptation to consumer preferences across various markets, Honda is virtually unrivaled in the two-wheel vehicle sector.

Hero MotoCorp sold approximately 5,9 million units in 2025, ranking second globally in sales. The Indian automaker primarily operates in its domestic market, which has seen the world's largest motorcycle purchasing power in recent years. The company has also expanded its business into African and Latin American markets.

In addition to Hero MotoCorp, India has three other motorcycle brands in the top 10: TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto, and Royal Enfield. Among these, Royal Enfield is also officially available for sale in Vietnam.

Yamaha ranks third globally in sales, with approximately 4,8 million units sold. Compared to its compatriot rival, Honda, Yamaha's sales volume is considerably more modest. The situation is similar in Vietnam.

Another Japanese representative, Suzuki, also appears in the top 10 best-selling motorcycle brands. Suzuki's sales total approximately 2 million units.

Yadea is the only all-electric motorcycle brand among the global best-sellers. This leading Chinese manufacturer sold approximately 4,5 million units, primarily driven by its domestic market. China currently trails India in annual new motorcycle sales, and both are the world's most populous nations.

In Vietnam, Yadea has been present since 2019. In the electric motorcycle segment, this Chinese brand's sales are second to VinFast.

While Yadea dominates the electric vehicle segment, Haojue leads the gasoline-powered motorcycle sector. This Chinese brand operates in over 80 markets, offering products from popular motorcycles and scooters to large-displacement motorcycles.

Italika is one of the few non-Asian brands to appear in the global top 10 best-sellers. This Mexican manufacturer primarily operates in its domestic market and across Latin America. Italika's product portfolio is diverse, encompassing scooters, small-displacement manual motorcycles, large-displacement motorcycles, and ATVs.
