Electric motorcycles have become increasingly popular in recent years. Alongside new companies focusing solely on electric models, traditional manufacturers that started with gasoline-powered bikes are also introducing electric options.
Based on real-world reviews, the British magazine Motor Cycles News (MCN) has compiled a list of the best electric two-wheelers for 2025, geared towards daily commuting.
Vmoto Stash
The Stash is the first true motorcycle from Vmoto, an Austrian motorcycle brand that currently manufactures its bikes in China. The Vmoto Stash boasts high-quality finishing, a robust frame, and a premium electrical system.

The Stash uses a traditional chain drive, making maintenance and repairs easy. This model has a 19-horsepower motor, a range of 145 km, and charges from 0-100% in about 5 hours using a standard household outlet. The Vmoto Stash starts at 8,460 USD.
Maeving RM1S
There's little to fault with the RM1S. This British-made motorcycle with a classic design reminiscent of 1970s racers is priced at 10,070 USD.

With its removable battery, the Maeving RM1S rivals its Chinese competitors in charging flexibility. This model has a 14-horsepower motor, a range of 129 km, and charges from 20-80% in 2.5 hours.
Zeeho AE8 S+
Zeeho is a premium electric motorcycle brand under the Chinese manufacturer CF Moto. The AE8 S+ was also imported into Vietnam in 2023 through private channels, priced at 145 million dong.

The Zeeho AE8 S+ offers performance comparable to a 125cc gas scooter. Its stylish and ergonomic design makes daily city commutes easy. This Zeeho model has a 7-horsepower motor, an 80 km range, and charges to 80% in about two hours. The AE8 S+ is priced around 6,310 USD.
BMW CE 02
Smaller than the scooter-styled CE 04, the CE 02 has a futuristic motorcycle design. It features a prominent TFT display and dual batteries providing a 90 km range per charge. The motor delivers 15 horsepower, and the battery charges from 20-80% in 2.5 hours.

The BMW CE 02 boasts high-quality components and meticulous design. It's an attractive option for younger riders, despite its higher price compared to some competitors. In the UK, the CE 02 starts at 11,350 USD.
Silence S01+
Silence, a Spanish company, specializes in producing microcars and electric motorcycles. The S01 is positioned as the most accessible electric motorcycle in their lineup.

The "+" (Plus) indicates that the S01+ is an improved version of the S01, with significantly enhanced suspension and brakes. The S01+ also has one of the best under-seat storage compartments in the electric motorcycle world. The Silence S01+ is priced at 10,040 USD, features a 16-horsepower motor, has a maximum range of 137 km, and takes about 9 hours to fully charge.
Segway E300SE
With its compact form, the Segway E300SE is a nimble electric motorcycle for urban environments. This Segway-Ninebot product offers an affordable price (5,370 USD) and numerous features.
