An analysis of over 2,6 million new vehicles across the United States, compiled by iSeeCars, indicates that Stellantis's sub-brands are holding a significant inventory of unsold 2024 models.
This presents a challenge for manufacturers and dealerships, but for buyers, it creates an opportunity to find favorable deals.
Topping this list is the Dodge Hornet PHEV. According to the study, approximately 82,1% of its 2024 models remain in dealerships nationwide. For perspective, the average industry rate for remaining 2024 models in stock is only 0,4%.
Price likely contributes to this situation. The average listed price for a 2024 Hornet PHEV is USD 41,166, which is only USD 244 lower than the initial suggested retail price of the mid-range Hornet R/T version.

Ranking second is the Jeep Grand Cherokee, with 70,8% of its 2024 models still in stock, at an average price of USD 64,014. Another Stellantis model, the Alfa Romeo Tonale Hybrid, follows closely, with 46,8% of its 2024 models still advertised for sale.
Other models with high inventory include the discontinued Chevrolet Malibu (31%), the internal combustion engine Dodge Hornet (26,3%), the Jeep Grand Wagoneer L (24,1%), the Genesis GV60 (21,8%), the Dodge Charger (20,9%), and the Nissan Z (18,8%).
Among the top 23 overstocked models, 12 belong to Stellantis. Besides the Hornet and Grand Cherokee, this list includes the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio, Maserati Grecale, and both standard Jeep Grand and Wagoneer L versions. This concentration positions Stellantis as a clear outlier, at least among 2024 models still in stock.
The situation shifts when considering 2025 model year inventory. Leading this category is the BMW i4, with 89,2% of its listed 2025 models still awaiting buyers. Close behind are the Lexus GX 550 and Subaru BRZ, with rates of 87,8% and 87,1% respectively.
