The German sports car manufacturer Porsche has launched the 2026 911 Turbo S for the European market. This is the most powerful version of the 911 line, according to the company. The "Turbo S" has always been praised for its perfect combination of supercar-level performance, drivability, and everyday practicality. The new 911 Turbo S is available in two versions: Coupe and Convertible.

The 2026 911 Turbo S boasts an impressive power increase. Porsche engineers applied the latest technology pioneered by last year's GTS. While the GTS uses a single turbocharger, the Turbo S uses two eTurbochargers. Porsche claims this boosts power to 701 hp and maximum torque to 800 Nm from 2,300-6,000 rpm, while also improving engine response. This represents a 61 hp increase over the current (non-hybrid) 911 Turbo S, which produces 640 hp.
The 992.2 Turbo S retains the previous generation's 3.6-liter flat-six engine. However, in addition to the two new eTurbos, it features a 1.9 kWh high-voltage battery and an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Power is delivered to all four wheels via Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive.
The performance of the 2026 911 Turbo S is significantly enhanced. It accelerates from 0-96 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 8.4 seconds, which is 0.2 and 0.5 seconds faster than the current version, respectively, when using Launch Control. The top speed is 320 km/h, 8 km/h lower than before.
The 2026 911 Turbo S weighs 1,736 kg, relatively heavy for a sports car. However, Porsche points out that the 82 kg weight increase is not a major issue, especially considering the additional components required for the hybrid system.
The 911 Turbo S comes standard with ceramic brakes, measuring 420 mm at the front and 410 mm at the rear, along with 255/35 ZR 20 high-performance tires and 325/30 ZR 21 rear tires.

The increased power output necessitated adjustments to several components on the 2026 911 Turbo S. These include upright cooling wings, an active front diffuser, and an extendable rear wing to improve cooling. The rear of the car features a tilted and extendable wing. The sports muffler and exhaust tips are made of titanium, reducing weight and enhancing engine sound.
The interior of the new 911 Turbo S retains the 992.2 style with unique details befitting the top-of-the-line 911. Notable are the metallic gray (turbonite) accents on the steering wheel, instrument cluster, dashboard, center console, and seat belts. Carbon fiber trim with Neodyme accents and a black Race-Tex headliner complete the interior.
The Coupe is a two-seater, while the Convertible is a 2+2 configuration. The 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S starts at 270,000 USD for the Coupe and 284,000 USD for the Convertible.
