Interior design of the 2025 bZ4X.
The new bZ4X will come in two versions: front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). Its design takes inspiration from the hammerhead shark. The bZ4X measures 4,690 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. This electric crossover is slightly larger than the RAV4, while its wheelbase is comparable to the Highlander. The vehicle features LED lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and 20-inch wheels.
The interior of the 2025 bZ4X is spacious. The leather-wrapped steering wheel integrates various control functions. A 7-inch multi-information display (MID) sits behind the steering wheel, and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other features include dual-zone automatic climate control, a fine particulate filter, a digital rearview mirror, two wireless charging pads, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, 64-color ambient lighting, a power liftgate, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, and 8-way power-adjustable front seats with memory function for the driver's seat and mirrors.
The new bZ4X features Toyota's first e-Axle technology, providing direct drive to the axle. The new electric motor generates 343 horsepower in the AWD version and 224 horsepower in the FWD version. Testing shows the AWD version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, while the FWD version does it in 7.4 seconds.
Both versions utilize a 73.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The FWD version offers a range of 600 km, while the AWD version has a range of 570 km. The battery supports DC fast charging up to 150 kWh, allowing for a 10-80% charge in 28 minutes, and standard 22 kW AC charging.
Toyota plans to announce the price of the 2025 bZ4X in October, with deliveries starting in November.
