In September, in addition to celebrating 30 years in Vietnam, Toyota is offering discounts on a range of vehicles through registration fee reductions. Many models have discounts that are among the largest seen so far this year.
Two B-segment MPVs, the Avanza and Veloz, are being offered with a 100% registration fee waiver and one year of body insurance. Depending on the dealership, customers can negotiate this promotional package to be deducted from the vehicle price. The total value of the discount on the Avanza equates to approximately 65-70 million VND. For the Veloz, the reduction is around 73-75 million VND.

The main competitor of the Avanza and Veloz, the Mitsubishi Xpander, is being offered with a 50-100% registration fee discount, amounting to 28-66 million VND depending on the version.
A full registration fee waiver is also available for the Vios, Toyota's best-selling sedan. This translates to a price reduction of about 46-54 million VND. Competitors like the Hyundai Accent and Honda City have similar discounts.
Two of Toyota's B-segment SUVs, the Yaris Cross and Corolla Cross, share a 50% registration fee discount. This is accompanied by a one-year comprehensive insurance package (excluding the Corolla Cross HEV version). For the Yaris Cross, this discount is around 42-48.5 million VND, while the Corolla Cross sees a reduction of 46-51 million VND.
Since the beginning of the year, similar to competitors like Hyundai, Honda, Mitsubishi, and Suzuki, Toyota has offered monthly discounts on various models. The Japanese joint venture is focusing on popular models like the Vios, Yaris Cross, and Veloz to stimulate demand and aim for a record sales milestone as part of its 30th-anniversary celebrations in Vietnam.
To commemorate this 30-year milestone, Toyota Vietnam will introduce special editions of the Vios and Yaris Cross in September. These versions mainly feature new decals, while the equipment and engines remain the same.
