Indonesian media reports suggest the front-wheel-drive Urban Cruiser offers a 400 km range with a 61 kWh battery pack, or a 300 km range with an optional 48 kWh battery. The all-wheel-drive version, equipped with two electric motors and a 61 kWh battery, offers a 350 km range.
The vehicle's front end, reminiscent of the new Camry, features a hammerhead design. Plastic cladding around the wheel arches and lower body contribute to a rugged, off-road aesthetic. Aerodynamic 18 or 19-inch wheels are available. The vehicle has a turning radius of 5.2 m.
The Urban Cruiser has a wheelbase of 2,760 mm, 140 mm longer than the Yaris Cross. The 40:20:40 split-folding second-row seats can slide forward and backward to maximize cargo space.
The Urban Cruiser's interior closely resembles the Suzuki e Vitara. It features a digital cockpit with a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility. The center console is accented with unique decorative elements. The interior also includes 12-color ambient lighting and a 360-degree camera.
The Jakarta Regional Tax Office (BPRD) has confirmed that the Urban Cruiser will be produced in Indonesia. Upon its release, the Urban Cruiser EV will compete with rivals such as the Hyundai Kona Electric, Peugeot e-3008, and Suzuki e Vitara.
GIIAS 2025 took place from 24/7 to 3/8.
