Japanese automaker Toyota chose Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025 to introduce the new Veloz Hybrid to the Indonesian market. Indonesian media has dubbed the Veloz Hybrid as the electrified version of the Perodua Alza Twin.

The 2026 seven-seater MPV Veloz Hybrid is offered in four variants: the V at 17,900 USD, the Q at 20,100 USD, the Q Modellista at 21,000 USD, and the Q TSS Modellista at 23,400 USD.
The Veloz Hybrid is Toyota's third hybrid model manufactured in Indonesia, following the Innova Zenix and Yaris Cross Hybrid. It is also the most affordable hybrid vehicle in their lineup, priced lower than the Yaris Cross Hybrid, which starts at 26,300 USD.
The Veloz Hybrid shares its powertrain with the Vios and Yaris Cross Hybrid, featuring a 1.5-liter 2NR-VEX four-cylinder engine that delivers 91 horsepower and 121 Nm of peak torque. This is paired with an electric motor producing 80 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. Combined, the system generates a total output of 111 horsepower, routed through an E-CVT transmission and supported by a 0.7 kWh battery pack.
Toyota has not yet released detailed specifications for the Veloz Hybrid. However, the Modellista variant includes a sporty bodykit, and the "TSS" in the top-tier Q TSS Modellista stands for Toyota Safety Sense. This suite of advanced driver-assistance systems includes features such as pre-collision warning, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and rear cross traffic alert.
Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2025 is scheduled to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia from 21-30/11.
