The incident occurred on the night of 1/2 on National Highway 37. A dashcam-equipped truck was traveling in the lane next to the median barrier, while a car occupied the middle lane. Approaching an intersection, the truck suddenly swerved right, striking the car's rear. The impact caused the car to spin sideways across the road. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed and exited through the passenger door.

On multi-lane roads, especially near intersections, drivers should avoid sudden lane changes. It is crucial to carefully observe vehicles ahead and behind. Signaling early, maintaining a safe following distance, and reducing speed before changing direction can help prevent collisions.

According to Decree 168/2024 on road traffic penalties, reckless lane changes incur a fine of 600,000-800,000 VND. On expressways, the fine for such an offense is 4-6 million VND. If a reckless lane change causes a traffic accident, the penalty increases to 20-22 million VND, along with a deduction of 10 driving license points.
