Two cars burst into flames after a high-speed crash at an intersection

A turning car was struck by a high-speed vehicle, immediately erupting in flames, early on 13/6 in Istanbul.

The collision, which took place around 2 am at an intersection on Turgut Ozal Boulevard, was recorded by a motorcyclist's helmet camera. It occurred when a high-speed car traveling straight crashed into a vehicle making a left turn.

Immediately after the impact, one of the two vehicles exploded and burst into flames. A total of 4 people were in the 2 cars, and the accident injured 3, including the 2 drivers, aged 25 and 29.

Bystanders quickly ran to assist at the scene, where both vehicles had been flung hundreds of meters from the initial impact. Debris lay scattered across the road. The turning car suffered extensive front-end damage, while the car traveling straight lay overturned on the pavement.

Local police are investigating the incident, with speed believed to be a key factor in both the collision and the ensuing fire.
