Vinfast announces battery subscription pricing in Indonesia

Vinfast's electric vehicle battery subscriptions in Indonesia start at 405,000 IDR per month for the VF 3 and go up to 1.65 million IDR for the VF 7 Plus AWD, effective from August.

Indonesia is one of the markets where Vinfast offers a battery subscription model alongside its vehicles. This policy was discontinued in Vietnam in February of this year. In Indonesia, Vinfast offers almost its entire range of EVs, including the VF 3, VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, and the latest VF 7.

Vinfast's battery subscription service in Indonesia has no mileage limit. The VF 3, with a starting price of 156 million IDR, has a monthly battery subscription fee of 253,000 IDR. This subscription option saves customers approximately 74.13 million IDR compared to purchasing the battery outright.

For the VF 5 Eco, the battery subscription brings the effective on-the-road price down to 232 million IDR, a saving of 91.17 million IDR compared to buying the battery. The monthly subscription fee for this model is 468,000 IDR.

The VF e34, Vinfast's C-segment EV, is available with a battery subscription for an on-the-road price of 299 million IDR. This represents a saving of 112.86 million IDR, the highest saving across Vinfast's Indonesian lineup. The monthly battery subscription fee for the VF e34 is 950,000 IDR.

Both the Eco and Plus versions of the VF 6 share the same monthly battery subscription fee of 650,000 IDR. Their respective on-the-road prices with the subscription are 335 million IDR and 394 million IDR. For the VF 7 Eco and Plus AWD, the on-the-road prices with the subscription are 449 million IDR and 539 million IDR, respectively, with monthly subscription fees of 1.4 million IDR and 1.65 million IDR.

According to Vinfast Indonesia, the battery subscription model, offered since the company's entry into the market, reduces the initial cost of ownership for customers and acts as a "lifetime battery warranty." This policy also applies to existing subscribers. Vinfast will handle all battery-related issues, including maintenance, repairs, and replacements free of charge if the battery capacity falls below 70%.

In addition to the battery subscription, Indonesian customers benefit from incentives like free charging at V-Green stations, cash rebates, accessories, favorable loan interest rates, and a guaranteed resale value of 90% after six months and 70% after three years. Vinfast has partnered with dealerships, after-sales service providers, repair shops, and banks to facilitate the transition to electric vehicles for Indonesian consumers.
