Hundreds of people attended the "Go Green - Trade Your Gas, Upgrade to Electric" event held on 30/7 at 682A Truong Chinh Street, Ho Chi Minh City. This was one of the stops in a nationwide program organized by GSM in collaboration with Green Future (GF) and VinFast. The series of events targets people who use vehicles for services, deliveries, and daily commutes.

At the event, the financial consulting area and vehicle display booth attracted many people who came to learn about the vehicles, take test drives, and place orders. The VinFast Evo Grand electric scooter was the most popular, thanks to its reasonable price and upgraded features designed for drivers.
Kim Tuoi (born in 1983, from Vinh Long) said he currently uses an Evo200 for Xanh SM and came to the event to upgrade to an Evo Grand because he needs a longer range.

"The new Evo Grand looks nice, handles well, and allows for an extra battery, so I can travel further," he said. "I plan to get one to test, and if it's good, I'll buy another one for my brother to commute with. Each full charge costs about 10,000 VND and allows me to travel over 100 km. Filling a motorbike's gas tank would cost several times more."
This ride-hailing driver also praised the performance of electric scooters, based on his experience with the Evo200. "Electric scooters run smoothly and quietly, and the Evo Grand's size is better. The price is 21 million VND, and I get free charging until 5/2026. This saves me about 30,000 VND per day, which adds up to around 1 million VND per month," Kim Tuoi said.
Tran Van Thanh (55 years old, Hoc Mon), who also chose VinFast's new electric scooter, said he has been with Xanh SM since 2022 and decided to replace his Klara S2. "This scooter is lighter, easier to maneuver, and can be fitted with an extra battery for all-day use," he said. "I used to ride a gas-powered motorbike, and the maintenance was quite expensive, from the cost of oil changes every week to engine maintenance. Each kilometer cost about 800 VND, but with an electric scooter, it's only about 200 VND."

VinFast designed the Evo Grand for frequent riders, especially those in ride-hailing services. The scooter can be fitted with an extra battery, extending its range to 262 km on a single charge under standard conditions. The Evo Grand uses an in-hub motor with 2,250 W of power and a top speed of 70 km/h.
At the event, the organizers also introduced a revenue-sharing policy to support pre-orders. Xanh SM Platform drivers receive 90% of the revenue, the highest rate among ride-hailing apps in Vietnam. Nguyen Van Tai (Trung My Tay ward), who currently uses a gas-powered motorbike for his service, came to the event to learn about switching to an electric scooter. "Xanh SM Platform only takes 10% of the revenue, so many drivers are interested in and considering switching to the Evo Grand," Tai said.

Currently, VinFast electric scooter buyers enjoy free charging at V-Green stations nationwide until 31/5/2026, excluding GSM drivers. In addition to electric scooters, the program also attracted people interested in VinFast electric cars. They brought their old gas-powered cars for appraisal, received advice on trading them in, and completed loan applications. The 7-seater electric MPV Limo Green was particularly popular.
In the coming weeks, GSM will continue to collaborate with Green Future (GF) and VinFast to hold this event weekly in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and other provinces and cities across the country.
