VinFast launches electric scooter with 262 km range

The VinFast Evo electric scooter comes in two versions, supporting two removable 2.4 kWh batteries for external charging, with a maximum range of 262 km.

VinFast launched two versions of its Evo electric scooter, the Grand and Grand Lite, on 24/7. The design is similar to the previous Evo200 model, but with the added option of a second, removable auxiliary battery (located in the trunk).

The Evo Grand comes with a 2.4 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 134 km on a single charge. Users can purchase a second, removable auxiliary battery, doubling the range to 262 km after fully charging both batteries.

The Evo Grand Lite comes with a 1.2 kWh battery, offering a range of 70 km on a single charge. Users can purchase an additional 2.4 kWh battery to increase the maximum range to 198 km after fully charging both batteries.

The VinFast Evo Grand features a rear in-hub motor with a maximum output of 2,250 W, enabling the scooter to reach a top speed of 70 km/h. The Evo Grand Lite has a lower output of 1,900 W and an electronically limited speed of 48 km/h, suitable for students who don't require a driver's license.

The Evo Grand has an unloaded weight of 92 kg (increasing to 110 kg with two batteries installed). The Evo Grand Lite weighs 82 kg (increasing to 100 kg with two batteries). Both models measure 1,856 mm in length, 683 mm in width, and 1,133 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1,295 mm, the ground clearance is 133 mm, and the seat height is 770 mm.

Both VinFast electric scooter models meet the IP67 water resistance standard and are equipped with front disc brakes and rear mechanical brakes. The trunk capacity is 35 liters, among the largest in its segment. The scooter connects to smartphones via the VinFast e-Scooter app, offering features like location tracking, automatic error diagnosis, and status display.

VinFast opened pre-orders for the two new models on 24/7 at authorized dealerships nationwide. The Evo Grand is priced at 21 million VND and the Evo Grand Lite at 18 million VND. The second auxiliary battery costs 5 million VND. The scooters offer more color options than the previous Evo200, including new colors like Olive Green and Sand Yellow.

The Evo Grand and Evo Grand Lite duo are expected to be showcased for the first time at the VinFast Green Fest Icon event, taking place on 26-27/7 at the Saigon Riverbank Park (TP HCM), and subsequently at other events organized by the company. Deliveries to users will begin in September.

Hanoi residents and temporary residents purchasing the Evo Grand, Evo Grand Lite, or other VinFast electric scooters have the opportunity to receive the scooter with zero down payment. Drivers who purchase scooters through GSM and register for transportation services on the Green SM Platform will receive a 10% discount from VinFast. The remaining 90% can be financed through Shinhan Finance and Lotte Finance for up to three years under GSM's guarantee.

For individual buyers, VinFast offers a 10% discount on the scooter price. Buyers need to make a 10% down payment, and the remaining 80% can be financed through Shinhan Finance and Lotte Finance for up to three years. From 24/7 to 24/10, VinFast also offers Hanoi residents and temporary residents a 100% exemption from registration fees when purchasing the company's electric scooters.
