Vinfast opens first showroom in India

Vinfast has launched its first showroom in Surat, Gujarat, ahead of the inauguration of its electric vehicle factory in the country.

The 300 m2 "Vinfast Surat" showroom, operated by Indian automotive retailer Chandan Car, opened on 27/7 in the Piplod area of Surat. The space showcases two electric SUV models, the VF 6 and VF 7, and offers customers a hands-on product experience, a streamlined purchase process, and international-standard after-sales service.

Vinfast plans to open 35 dealerships in more than 27 cities across India by the end of the year. Pre-orders for the VF 6 and VF 7 began on 15/7, with a refundable deposit of 21,000 INR (equivalent to over 240 USD) accepted at the showroom or through the company website.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of Vinfast Asia, stated that the first Vinfast showroom in Surat demonstrates the Vietnamese brand's long-term commitment to the Indian market. Through this showroom, Vinfast aims not only to introduce its electric vehicle models but also to provide a comprehensive ownership journey built on quality, trust, and exceptional service.

"With Chandan Car's partnership, we are building a modern electric vehicle ecosystem in India. Chandan Car's extensive experience, combined with Vinfast's technology and vision, promises to deliver a premium electric vehicle experience to our customers," Chau said.

The VF 6 and VF 7 SUVs will be assembled at the Vinfast factory in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This factory is considered a strategic pillar for the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, emphasizing its commitment to long-term investment in India, one of the most promising electric vehicle markets in Asia.

As part of its India strategy, Vinfast is collaborating with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure to establish a nationwide charging station network and after-sales services. The company is also partnering with BatX Energies in battery recycling, aiming to develop a circular battery value chain and minimize environmental impact.
