Vinfast opens largest showroom in India

Vinfast Auto opened a 430 m2 showroom on 1/8 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, currently its largest facility in India.

The showroom is operated by Maansarovar Motors, a long-standing local car distributor. The store displays the premium electric SUVs, VF 6 and VF 7, aiming to reach urban consumers looking for sustainable transportation.

The new showroom reinforces Vinfast's commitment to building a comprehensive, customer-centric electric vehicle ecosystem tailored to the needs of Chennai residents. The event is also part of Vinfast's retail expansion strategy in the world's second most populous country.

Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of Vinfast Asia, said Chennai is a suitable destination for the company's development goals thanks to its innovation, quality workforce, and good infrastructure.

"Through our partnership with Maansarovar Motors, we expect to redefine the electric vehicle experience in India, combining technology, sustainability, and top-notch service," Chau added.

Vinfast aims to open 35 showrooms in more than 27 Indian cities by the end of this year. Since 15/7, customers have been able to pre-order the VF 6 and VF 7 models on the website or directly at showrooms with a refundable deposit of 21,000 INR.

Along with expanding its distribution system, Vinfast is strategically partnering with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure to develop a network of charging stations and after-sales services. The company is also collaborating with BatX Energies to promote battery recycling and build a circular battery value chain in India.

Vinfast (Nasdaq: VFS), a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, is an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer. The company's current product portfolio includes a diverse range of electric SUVs, electric motorcycles, electric bicycles, and electric buses.

Vinfast is entering a phase of expanding its distribution and dealer network globally, while also strengthening its production capacity, focusing on key markets in North America, Europe, and Asia.
