VinFast unveils new electric scooter segments

VinFast announced on 30/1 its plan to launch seven all-new electric scooter models, reorganizing its segments into popular, premium, and sport categories.

In addition to its existing models, VinFast is introducing two new segments—Premium and Sport—comprising seven models. The Premium line is expected to launch in Q4, while the Sport segment will debut in Q2/2027. This move aims to expand beyond its current offerings.

The Premium segment will feature three models: Rasad, Sadie, and Saxil. These models target customers who prioritize aesthetics and advanced technology. VinFast positions this segment as a benchmark for superior functionality and design in the future electric scooter market.

The Rasad, a maxi-scooter, boasts a masculine, angular design, intended for comfortable long-distance riding. It is expected to feature a mid-mounted motor, delivering a maximum power of 7,100 W and a top speed of 100 km/h.

Sadie and Saxil offer a softer aesthetic with rounded lines, highlighted by diamond-shaped headlight clusters. Both models are anticipated to feature a mid-mounted motor, a maximum power of 4,500 W, and a top speed of 80 km/h.

VinFast's sport segment will comprise four models, designed in naked-bike, cruiser, and supersport styles. This segment is engineered for the highest power output within the company's range. The two naked-bike models, Subab and Surad, are designed for daily use, featuring high handlebars and comfortable seating.

The Sudub cruiser model showcases a more adventurous design with angular headlights and a distinctive front end. Its long wheelbase and handlebars, positioned higher than the seat, are expected to ensure comfortable long-distance rides. The Sulad supersport model is aimed at speed enthusiasts, with a design optimized for aesthetics and high aerodynamics.

While specific power details for each model are pending, VinFast promises that the electric motors will deliver a maximum output of 50,000 W, comparable to 600 cc gasoline moto, and a potential top speed of 130 km/h. The battery packs are also specially designed to maximize travel range on a single charge.

In addition to these new segments, VinFast will continue to offer its popular electric scooter line, which includes models such as: Amio, ZGoo, Flazz, Evo, Evo Grand, Feliz, Feliz II, Vero X, and Viper.

Hoang Ha, General Director of VinFast E-Moto Vietnam, stated that reorganizing the product range aims to create distinct advantages and redefine the domestic electric scooter market. This strategy includes offering models with unique personalities that inspire passion in their owners.

By the end of 2025, VinFast electric scooter sales recorded exceptional growth, increasing by 473% compared to 2024, securing a leading position in the domestic market. A VinFast report indicates the company sold 406,453 units in 2025, translating to approximately 1,115 VinFast electric scooters delivered to Vietnamese customers daily.

Earlier this year, VinFast launched four new electric scooter models, including the first three swappable battery lines—Evo, Feliz II, and Viper—and the Amio model, which features pedals for students. The company has completed its initial network of 4,500 battery swap stations and plans to expand to 45,000 battery swap cabinets within Q1.
