At 2:15 a.m. on 15/6, more than 10 Yamaha motorcycles lined up before the starting line of the VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon. Leading the pack were sporty models like the XMax and Tracer 9 GT, followed by popular scooters like the Grande, Janus, and the electric Neo’s. As the starting signal sounded, the Yamaha motorcycles led the 12,000 runners on their journey through the coastal city.

The motorcycles traveled along the city's most scenic routes, including Xuan Dieu, Nguyen Tat Thanh streets, and Thi Nai bridge. The presence of these stylish, technologically advanced motorcycles added a unique element to the race. This was the first time VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon used dozens of motorcycles to lead the runners.
According to a Yamaha representative, the selected motorcycles were all new 2025 models. The Grande and Janus have been redesigned for practicality and fuel efficiency. The Neo’s, the company's pioneering electric scooter, promotes a green and sustainable lifestyle. The XMax and Tracer 9 GT embody sportiness, agility, and high performance.
Mr. Okutani Masahiro, General Director of Yamaha Motor Vietnam, stated that showcasing this diverse product range highlighted the company's three core values: sport, style, and innovation. Yamaha aims to inspire the running community to embrace a dynamic, healthy, and greener lifestyle. "We also affirm our commitment to environmental protection, promoting a green lifestyle, and encouraging healthy habits – aligning with the dynamic, modern, and positive spirit Yamaha always strives for", Mr. Okutani Masahiro said.
Along the race route, runners could check in at the Yamaha Zone. The giant inflatable arch served as a photo opportunity for the 12,000 runners to capture their moments in the longest-running event of the VnExpress Marathon system.

The brand's presence continued at the finish line. Yamaha provided a booth for stretching and relaxation activities, helping runners recover after the race. During the two days prior (13-14/6), the booth showcased various motorcycle models, offered test drives, and hosted mini-games, attracting thousands of runners.
Yamaha's leadership views the VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon as a unique event, having persisted for six seasons. Similarly, Yamaha has operated in the Vietnamese market for decades. Both marathons and motorcycles represent continuous forward motion. Therefore, participating in the race is a way for the company to encourage perseverance, pushing limits, and introducing new mobility technologies to the running community.
The company representative also confirmed they will seek opportunities to participate in future races. In 2024, the brand partnered with VM Nha Trang. "For Yamaha, this is also an opportunity to affirm our Sporty DNA – the spirit of sport present in every product. We aim to project a youthful brand image, supporting and inspiring a modern lifestyle for Vietnamese users", the representative stated.
