ACV appoints acting general director

Nguyen Duc Hung, deputy general director overseeing Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), has been appointed acting general director effective 14/5.

ACV announced the personnel change on the afternoon of 15/5, one day after the decision took effect.

According to the decision signed by acting chairman of the board Le Van Khien, Hung will serve as acting general director until a competent authority appoints a permanent general director.

The general director position at ACV has been vacant since 9/2024. Typically, a general director leads a company's executive board. Since the vacancy, the company has only had a deputy general director overseeing the executive board. Hung was the most recent to hold this interim role, starting early February.

Born in 1978, Hung holds master's degrees in business administration and electronics and telecommunications.

ACV currently holds total assets exceeding 90,500 billion VND and a charter capital of nearly 35,830 billion VND. The Ministry of Finance is the largest shareholder, with a 95,4% ownership stake.

The enterprise operates 25 branches, primarily domestic and international airports. It is the investor for the Long Thanh International Airport project, with a total investment of approximately 336,630 billion VND and a scale of about 5,000 hectares.

In the first three months of the year, the corporation earned 6,860 billion VND in revenue and 3,346 billion VND in after-tax profit, both quarterly record highs.

ACV has not yet announced its revenue and profit plans for this year. In its annual report published last month, management stated it is reviewing and developing business production plans for shareholder approval soon.
