Beiersdorf Vietnam builds development on employee experience

Beiersdorf Vietnam embraces employee feedback, fosters learning and rotation opportunities, and cultivates a workplace that meets its team's development needs.

Beiersdorf Vietnam was named one of "Vietnam's Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2026" by HR Asia magazine in July. This marks the third consecutive year the company has received this recognition. The award assesses companies based on three criteria: Core (evaluating culture, governance, and leadership), Self (measuring employee engagement and pride), and Group (teamwork within the organization).

A representative from Beiersdorf Vietnam expressed delight at being named for three consecutive years. This recognition acknowledges the collective efforts of its staff and reinforces the company's goal of building an ideal workplace: continuously listening, developing, and moving forward.

"People are a crucial factor, and leadership always bases development on employee experience", the representative stated. After each HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia season, the company consistently asks: what creates positive employee experiences; what can be improved; and how to build a better workplace to help individuals realize their potential?

In a rapidly evolving market, with changing technology and employee expectations, a corporate culture cannot be sustainable if its values exist only on paper. At Beiersdorf Vietnam, culture is shaped and nurtured by employee experiences, reflected in how the company listens, provides opportunities, and supports each individual.

The "engagement index" survey is a key channel for employees to share their perspectives, providing the organization with realistic insights. However, listening is just the starting point; the crucial step is for the company to adjust work methods, develop initiatives, and improve experiences based on reasonable feedback to meet the team's evolving needs.

Beiersdorf encourages employees to explore new abilities and proactively develop their careers. Opportunities for internal rotation and international experience broaden expertise, perspectives, and adaptability in a global environment.

Through various courses and training, individuals can proactively build skills for their current roles and future aspirations. Programs like "management trainee" and "winnership" offer young staff the chance to experience a multinational corporate environment, participate in real projects, learn from experienced mentors, and discover their strengths.

The company emphasizes that development is not always a linear path. Growth often stems from trying a new role, venturing into unfamiliar fields, or simply uncovering previously unrecognized capabilities.

"With a people-centric approach, the company consistently prioritizes the physical and mental health and happiness of each employee, accompanied by suitable activities and policies", said Ms. Le Ngoc Van Khanh, Head of Procurement at Beiersdorf Vietnam.

According to Ms. Van Khanh, the unique experiences of individuals and teams resonate, gradually becoming an integral part of the corporate culture, thereby forming a foundation for the organization's progress.
