Vietnam aims for higher growth in the coming period, which necessitates expanding resources for development investment. In this context, state budget revenue remains crucial for the government to invest in infrastructure, digital transformation, education, healthcare, and new growth drivers.
The Vietnam Largest Taxpayers (VNTAX) ranking system, which includes VNTAX 200, PRIVATE 100, and STATE 100, was established with the message "creating national growth resources" to acknowledge businesses making substantial contributions to the state budget. LPBank is ranked among the top 6 private banks contributing the most to Vietnam's state budget.
The bank's contributions have significantly increased over the past five years. LPBank contributed 1,038 billion VND in 2021, and this figure reached 3,298 billion VND in 2025, representing more than a three-fold increase. In 2024 alone, budget contributions increased by nearly 80% year-on-year and surpassed 3,000 billion VND for the first time, a level it continued to maintain in 2025.

According to a bank representative, the nearly 3,300 billion VND figure does not merely reflect a bank's business results. It represents the accumulation of value-creating capabilities through expanding operational scale, enhancing business efficiency, investing in technology, and improving governance capabilities.
As of 30/6, LPBank's total consolidated assets reached 615,502 billion VND. Outstanding customer loans stood at 429,465 billion VND, a 10% increase since the beginning of the year. Capital raised from the primary market reached 432,535 billion VND, up 8% year-to-date and 17% compared to the same period last year. This expanding scale enables the bank to increase capital supply to the economy while building a foundation for revenue and profit growth.
Alongside expanding its scale, LPBank has improved the quality of its growth. In the first six months of this year, LPBank recorded 5,973 billion VND in pre-tax profit, with total operating income exceeding 11,200 billion VND. Its return on equity (ROE) continued to be above 21%, placing it among the highest in the banking system.
Growth is also built on effective risk management and operations. Despite continued credit expansion, LPBank maintains a non-performing loan (NPL) ratio below 2%. It also ensures compliance with capital adequacy and liquidity metrics as regulated. This demonstrates the bank's development strategy aims for a balance between scale, efficiency, and safety, rather than chasing short-term growth.

A bank representative stated that beyond direct budget contributions, the amount represents the process of creating value for the economy. This occurs through millions of financial transactions, hundreds of thousands of loans, and capital flows circulated to businesses, business households, and individuals. Each disbursed credit contributes to expanding production, creating jobs, and boosting consumption and investment. As businesses develop and the economy grows, the bank's operational efficiency also improves, generating further revenue for the state budget. The state budget is the final destination of the value chain that LPBank helps build by connecting capital flows.
Pursuing a retail banking strategy for many years, LPBank has built an extensive operational network and an increasingly sophisticated digital ecosystem. This serves millions of individual customers, business households, and enterprises nationwide. These factors provide a business advantage, enabling the bank to expand access to financial services in many localities, particularly rural areas and type 2 urban areas.
Expanding financial access allows people and businesses easier access to capital, helping to promote production and business activities in many localities. When capital flows more efficiently, the value generated in the economy returns to the banking system as increased revenue and profit, which then transforms into state budget revenue.
In addition to direct budget contributions, LPBank also dedicates resources to social welfare activities. Over many years, the bank has implemented numerous programs to build charity homes, schools, and medical facilities. It has awarded scholarships to students and supported people affected by natural disasters and epidemics. The bank also collaborates on poverty reduction and community development programs in localities across the country. These activities reflect a development philosophy linked to social responsibility, where corporate value is measured not only by asset size or profit but also by practical contributions to the community.

LPBank emphasizes that the nearly 3,300 billion VND contributed to the budget in 2025 is only one part of the value it creates. A greater value lies in the bank's role in fostering a positive economic cycle: capital is channeled into production and business, businesses create value and jobs, the bank improves operational efficiency, and the state budget gains more revenue for the government to continue investing in infrastructure and development programs. This embodies the meaning of VNTAX's message: "creating national growth resources."
From a commercial bank, LPBank is increasingly demonstrating its role not just as a financial institution supplying capital to the economy, but also as an enterprise creating resources for the country's development.
