Delivery personnel resume express delivery operations after floods. *BEST Express* |
Late november, many areas in central Vietnam experienced prolonged heavy rains, causing widespread flooding and cutting off key transportation routes. This disruption halted trade, led to an accumulation of e-commerce goods, and affected delivery and receipt schedules. In response, as soon as floodwaters receded, BEST Express proactively reconnected its transportation network, ensuring goods continued to circulate safely and reach customers promptly.
BEST Express teams in the central provinces immediately assessed the infrastructure and the impact on each transportation route. Restoration efforts followed a clear priority: main inter-provincial routes were restored first, followed by regional routes, and then goods were delivered to isolated post offices. As a result, many main routes became operational again one or two days after the floods.
Alongside reopening the network, the company increased vehicles and support staff to prevent capacity shortages. For areas that were deeply flooded or affected by landslides, BEST arranged alternative delivery methods, such as motorcycles or temporary transshipment, to maintain the flow of goods.
Notably, local delivery personnel remained committed to their routes, taking advantage of favorable weather to ensure quick deliveries. "Customers are waiting for their orders, so as soon as the roads are clear, we go immediately. Timely delivery is not just a responsibility; it's BEST's commitment," a delivery person shared.
A BEST Express representative stated that restoring operations after natural disasters is not merely an operational task but also reflects their "customer first" principle. Therefore, during the express delivery disruption, the customer service system was maintained seamlessly to promptly update order statuses and support senders and recipients in each area.

Beyond operational activities, local post offices actively collaborated with local authorities to provide essential goods to heavily affected residents, supporting the community during this difficult period.
Although most transportation routes have been restored, the company maintains contingency plans for continued complex weather developments. Traffic monitoring and vehicle fleet maintenance systems are activated at a high level to ensure the safety of both drivers and goods.
Amid climate change causing extreme weather patterns, rapid and flexible response capabilities and stable service maintenance are critical criteria for logistics businesses. BEST Express's post-flood recovery efforts demonstrate its commitment to ensuring goods transportation and maintaining connectivity in socio-economic life.
With a proactive operational approach and a commitment to service continuity, the company stated it will continue to support sellers, businesses, and customers nationwide, even during disruptions from natural disasters or adverse conditions.
