According to Forbes' real-time billionaire ranking, as of 5/4, Pham Nhat Vuong's net worth stands at 24,5 billion USD, placing him 100th globally. This achievement positions the billionaire above Prajogo Pangestu, the Indonesian founder of Barito Pacific Group, making him the wealthiest person in Southeast Asia.
At the end of 2025, Pham Nhat Vuong was ranked second among Southeast Asia's richest, behind Prajogo Pangestu. However, over the past three months, the Indonesian billionaire's assets decreased from over 44 billion USD to 18,6 billion USD by 5/4. This decline was primarily due to Barito Pacific Group's stock experiencing about a 60% drop since the beginning of this year.
Forbes calculates individual wealth based on the number and value of shares held at a specific time. The ranking also considers other assets, including stakes in private companies, real estate, art collections, and yachts.
Since the beginning of this year, Pham Nhat Vuong's net worth has also decreased by nearly 4 billion USD, mainly due to a decline in Vingroup's VIC stock. Currently, the entrepreneur and his family hold a controlling stake in Vingroup, with total ownership of about 65%. He directly owns 389,9 million VIC shares, representing 10,05% of the capital.
The American magazine recognized the Vingroup Chairman as Vietnam's first billionaire in 2013. At that time, his wealth was 1,5 billion USD, placing him 974th globally. Over twelve years, Pham Nhat Vuong's assets have increased more than 16 times.
Pham Nhat Vuong's family includes hai other billionaires: Pham Thu Huong and Pham Thuy Hang. These hai female entrepreneurs officially joined Forbes' list of the world's wealthiest people in March this year.
Pham Thu Huong, Pham Nhat Vuong's wife, has a net worth of 1,5 billion USD. Born in 1969, she holds a Master's degree in International Law from Ukraine. She currently serves as Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and Chairwoman of GSM Company, which operates the Xanh SM taxi and ride-hailing service.
Meanwhile, Pham Thuy Hang is Pham Thu Huong's younger sister. Born in 1974, she graduated with a degree in Russian Language from the University of Hanoi (formerly Hanoi University of Foreign Languages). She also holds the position of Vice Chairwoman at Vingroup, with a net worth of 1,5 billion USD.
This year, Vingroup aims for 450,000 billion VND in revenue, an increase of about 36% compared to the previous year. The company projects a post-tax profit of 25,000 billion VND, 2,2 times higher than in 2025, marking its highest ever.
