BRG chairwoman honored as labor hero

Nguyen Thi Nga, chairwoman of BRG Group, was awarded the title of Labor Hero during the Doi Moi (renewal) period on 12/9.

On 12/9, at Ho Guom Theater in Ha Noi, Nguyen Thi Nga, chairwoman of BRG Group, received the esteemed title of Labor Hero for the Doi Moi period. Additionally, BRG Group and Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) were honored with the First-class Labor Order and a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Public Security.

During the ceremony, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man lauded Nga’s dedication, noting its close alignment with the nation's renewal and integration process. He emphasized her and BRG Group's significant contributions to job creation, state budget revenue, and addressing various social issues.

The Chairman of the National Assembly expressed his hope that Nga would cultivate a successor team possessing strong capabilities, resilience, and business ethics. In her capacity as chairwoman of the Vietnam Private Business Association, he urged her to continue her contributions to policy development and the promotion of responsible business practices.

Nga has been instrumental in advancing strategies for transferring management knowledge, technology, and international operational expertise. She has also focused on training Vietnamese human resources through partnerships with global leaders such as Hilton, Marriott International, IHG, and Accor. Furthermore, she has dedicated considerable effort to restoring and developing Chu Dau pottery, an ancient Vietnamese ceramic tradition dating back to the 15th century.

Throughout her leadership of BRG Group and SeABank, Nga stated her commitment to leveraging science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green transformation as key drivers for development.

Originating as an export enterprise, BRG Group has evolved into a diversified conglomerate. It operates across various sectors including real estate, hospitality, golf courses, finance and banking, and retail, providing employment for over 22,000 staff members.

According to Vietnam Largest Taxpayers 2026, BRG Group contributed nearly 13.2 trillion dong to the state budget through Bac Ha Noi Smart City Development and Investment Joint Stock Company (NHSC). This places it 4th among the top 100 private companies contributing the most to Vietnam's budget.
