A representative from Carlsberg Vietnam stated that receiving the HR Asia award for four consecutive years reflects how building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace has become integral to its corporate culture. The first-time recognition with the HR Asia Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards 2026 further confirms that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) are not only realized through initiatives but also demonstrated in how employees work, collaborate, and develop daily.
This year's award holds added significance as the Carlsberg Group recently launched its "Global Policy on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion". This policy reaffirms DE&I as a critical foundation for fostering a culture of growth and driving the Group's long-term business strategy. Built on the three principles: "Diversity Is Us. Equity Strengthens Us. Inclusion Empowers Us.", the policy reflects a belief that when diverse perspectives are respected and given opportunities to thrive, businesses achieve more effective collaboration, make more informed decisions, and establish a stronger foundation for growth.
Over the past year, Carlsberg Vietnam continued to cultivate an inclusive culture through various initiatives, such as: the annual Pride Month campaign "Come As You Are", which celebrates individuality, and SHELeads, a community for future female leaders. The company also signed the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), initiated by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the United Nations Global Compact (UN Global Compact). Carlsberg Vietnam is also progressing towards the Group's goal of having women comprise 42% of its senior leadership team by 2032.

These efforts are evident in employee experience. In the most recent Group-wide employee engagement survey, Carlsberg Vietnam achieved an 86-point Inclusion Index score. The company consistently maintains results within the Top 10% global benchmark for Inclusion Index, as assessed by the HR organization Glint.
Dang Tran Ngoc Ngan, senior director of human resources and culture at Carlsberg Vietnam, stated that these awards are particularly meaningful as they recognize the culture Carlsberg Vietnam has diligently built every day. "We always believe that the greatest strength of a business comes from its people. This belief continues to guide how we develop our people, nurture our leadership team, and prepare for the future," said Dang Tran Ngoc Ngan.

At the Phu Bai Brewery, Carlsberg's largest brewery in Asia by capacity, new-generation brewing technology has reduced water consumption by approximately 20% and energy consumption by 15% compared to previous levels. The brewery also recovers and reuses 100% of the CO2 generated during fermentation, achieving Zero Waste to Landfill certification. Furthermore, it is preparing to implement a rooftop solar power project as the next step towards realizing the Carlsberg Group's goal of net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2040.
The VCCI award further extends Carlsberg Vietnam's sustainable development journey. This is alongside other achievements, such as: being named in the "Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam 2025" by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) - VCCI, receiving the "Enterprise for Community" award from the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) in 2025, and earning a commendation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the 35th anniversary celebration of the Vietnam Beer, Alcohol, and Beverage Association (VBA) for its contributions to the industry's sustainable development.
