On 5/12, Citi Bank appointed Ngo Thi Hong Minh as chief executive officer of Citibank NA, Ho Chi Minh City branch.
Minh will succeed Ramachandran as Citi's highest representative, overseeing all banking operations in Vietnam.

Ngo Thi Hong Minh brings nearly 25 years of experience in the financial sector. She joined Citi in early 2024, responsible for capital and markets business.
Prior to Citi, she spent six years as head of domestic market business at JP Morgan Vietnam. From 2016 to 2017, she served as director of corporate finance and underwriting at Vietnam International Bank (VIB).
Citi, one of the oldest US banks, was founded in 1812 and operates in over 180 countries. The bank opened its first branch in Vietnam in 1993.
In early 2023, Citi completed the divestment of its retail banking business across four Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, to UOB, a Singaporean bank. The transaction was valued at approximately 3,6 billion USD. In Vietnam, Citi currently focuses on corporate clients.
