Pham Minh Thang, CEO of Emall Vietnam, told VnExpress that the company acquired ownership of Pierre Cardin's shoe system in Canada, including assets, the brand, distribution network, and personnel. He did not disclose the transaction value.
Emall Vietnam announced the information after completing the necessary procedures for the Canadian deal, concluding a 9-year pursuit. Previously, in May, the company acquired 28 Pierre Cardin Shoes stores in Thailand.

According to Emall, taking over the brand's operating rights in Canada is part of its plan to expand internationally and establish a long-term presence in the retail sector. Canada is a market with high demands for brand management, transparency, and service standards, especially for international fashion labels.
Market observers note that as Vietnamese businesses increasingly expand overseas, acquisitions and distribution system takeovers in developed markets reflect a trend of deeper participation by the private sector in global value chains.
Emall is an authorized partner of Pierre Cardin Paris for regional production and market development. After more than 10 years of collaboration, the company has exported Pierre Cardin shoes manufactured in Vietnam to markets such as Thailand, France, India, Mexico, and Brazil.
In Vietnam, Pierre Cardin Shoes is a business shoe brand distributed across most shopping malls.
