First Aeon MaxValu supermarket opens in Ho Chi Minh City

The first Aeon MaxValu supermarket in the southern region attracted hundreds of consumers for shopping and experiences on its opening day.

On 16/7, Aeon MaxValu Dream Home, Aeon Vietnam's first medium-sized supermarket, opened in Ho Chi Minh City. Aeon MaxValu offers a diverse range of goods at competitive prices, with a focus on fresh, safe food products. This model aims to make essential product shopping easier and quicker for residents in their living areas.

From early morning, the supermarket welcomed hundreds of customers from the residential area and neighboring communities. The mascot Meon appeared, creating a welcoming atmosphere. A product sampling program also drew significant interest, offering customers the chance to experience products directly before purchasing.

Located in the Dream Home Resident apartment complex in An Hoi Tay ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Aeon MaxValu Dream Home spans approximately 400 m2. It features modern equipment and a spacious, clean shopping environment, adhering to Japanese standards. The store's scientifically arranged sections and clear signage guide customers to essential product categories and help them find suitable items.

Essential product categories, such as vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, bread, and ready-to-eat foods, are conveniently located near the entrance. This arrangement allows customers to easily select items for their daily needs. Intuitive signage is also placed throughout the store to help consumers find desired products.

According to a company representative, Aeon MaxValu Dream Home was developed to cater to daily shopping needs. It provides over 3,000 products across various categories, from fresh and processed foods to essential consumer goods like milk, cosmetics, and household items. All products are selected and managed according to Aeon's quality standards.

Beyond essential goods, the Delica and Bakery sections are key highlights, offering a variety of ready-to-eat dishes, bread, and snacks combining Vietnamese and Japanese flavors. These options cater to the modern urban lifestyle, providing convenient, safe, and quality meals for families.

Additionally, customers can choose from Aeon's private label products, such as Topvalu and Home Coordy. Topvalu offers food and cosmetic products developed according to Japanese quality standards, through collaborative development and production with local businesses. Home Coordy provides household goods and home decor products with minimalist, modern, and durable designs.

Alongside diversifying its product catalog, Aeon MaxValu Dream Home continues to implement conveniences such as home delivery and phone shopping services. It also supports various payment methods, including bank cards, e-wallets, and QR codes. The Waon membership point accumulation program remains available, offering attractive incentives and connecting customers to Aeon's expanding retail ecosystem in Vietnam.

To celebrate its opening, Aeon MaxValu Dream Home launched several promotional programs: product discounts, complimentary gifts, and vouchers worth 20,000 dong for invoices from 499,000 dong. Specifically, from 16 to 19/7, customers who register for a new Waon account and make a purchase with an invoice of 300,000 dong or more will receive 200 points, equivalent to a 20,000 dong voucher, for the first 350 customers. Successfully registered Waon account holders also receive a free soft-serve ice cream. The program may conclude earlier than expected depending on the quantity of products or promotional vouchers.

Aeon Vietnam first launched its medium-sized supermarket model, Aeon MaxValu, in Hanoi in 2020. These stores are located near residential areas to meet consumers' daily shopping needs. To date, approximately 30 Aeon MaxValu supermarkets in the northern region have been well-received by customers, especially in inner-city areas.

The opening of the first Aeon MaxValu in Ho Chi Minh City is part of Aeon Vietnam's strategy to develop a diverse, multi-format retail ecosystem. This initiative aims to better serve the evolving needs of customers. Through this expansion, Aeon seeks to provide more modern, convenient, and safe shopping options suitable for young families and urban consumers.
