According to information announced by Vingroup on 9/9, following her resignation, Mai Huong Noi is no longer considered an insider of the group.
Born in 1969, Mai Huong Noi earned a bachelor's degree in economics, specializing in banking, from National Economics University. Before joining the Vingroup ecosystem, she worked in the post office sector in Hanoi from 2004 to 2006.
During her 20 years at the conglomerate led by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, Mai Huong Noi held various leadership positions, including general director and board member.
With Mai Huong Noi's departure, Vingroup's board of directors now consists of three members: general director Nguyen Viet Quang, Duong Thi Hoan, and Nguyen Thi Thu Hien.
In the first half of this year, Vingroup recorded a net revenue of 221,920 billion VND, a 72% increase compared to the same period last year. Real estate was the largest revenue source, contributing 57% of total sales.
After accounting for expenses, the group, led by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, reported a net profit after tax of over 20,900 billion VND, nearly 5 times higher than the same period last year. As of 30/6, Vingroup's total assets reached 1.3 million billion VND, an increase of nearly 200,000 billion VND since the beginning of the year.
