The meeting between FLC and the South Korean embassy aimed to discuss cooperation strategies and strengthen connections between the business communities of both nations.
Ambassador Choi Youngsam acknowledged FLC Group as the first business delegation to visit the South Korean embassy for the New Year. He praised FLC's role and development strategies, noting their contribution to deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries through investment projects, business cooperation, and economic and tourism exchanges.
FLC leadership views South Korea as a key strategic partner for the group's long-term growth. South Korean tourists represent over 50% of the total international visitors at FLC's resort complexes annually.
Bamboo Airways identified South Korea as a key market early in its international expansion. The airline launched its first direct flight connecting Da Nang to Seoul in 2019, followed by regular routes from Cam Ranh and Hanoi to Incheon. FLC plans to host an investment and tourism roadshow in South Korea in 4/2026.
Trinh Van Quyet was arrested in 3/2022. In 6/2025, the former FLC chairman's sentence for fraudulent appropriation of property was reduced to seven years in prison.
