On 27/3, Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) announced the appointment of Loic Faussier as deputy chief executive officer, overseeing risk management, legal affairs, and compliance.
This move reflects Sacombank's strategy to attract senior personnel with international experience, particularly in key areas like risk management and compliance. The bank anticipates this will accelerate its restructuring plan, strengthen its financial stability, and foster sustainable growth.
Previously in 2024, Loic Faussier served as a senior advisor to the Executive Board at Loc Phat Vietnam Bank (LPBank) during Nguyen Duc Thuy's involvement in the bank's restructuring.

Born in France in 1972, Loic Faussier graduated with an economics degree from Paris Assas University, holds a master's in finance from Paris Dauphine University, and a master's in business law from Paris Political Institute. He brings over 27 years of experience in finance and banking, having held numerous leadership positions at major institutions in France, Hong Kong, China, Japan, and Vietnam.
Before joining Sacombank, his career included roles as director of HSBC Vietnam, deputy director of HSBC Japan, deputy chief executive officer of Vietnam International Bank (VIB), chief executive officer of SeABank, and senior advisor to LPBank's Executive Board. He also worked at Citibank Paris and served as deputy financial attache at the French Embassy in Beijing.
With Faussier's addition, Sacombank's Executive Board now comprises 12 members, including Nguyen Duc Thuy as chief executive officer.
Alongside strengthening its leadership team, Sacombank is implementing initiatives to modernize and enhance the flexibility of its operating model.
The bank streamlined its structure to 9 operational divisions and transitioned to a vertical management model from 22/1, targeting an 80%-20% front-to-back office personnel ratio to boost operational efficiency.
