FLC Group originated as Investment Management and Supervision Consulting Joint Stock Company (SMiC), founded by Quyet in 2001. Initially, the company primarily operated in legal consulting and investment management.
From 2010, FLC diversified its operations, expanding into real estate, resort tourism, and aviation in 2019, establishing its reputation in the market. Quyet served as FLC's chairman of the board of directors until early 2022, when he faced legal issues and stepped down from his position.
Several months before Quyet's return, FLC regained operational control of Bamboo Airways in late 9/2025. At its peak, Bamboo Airways operated 30 aircraft, including a wide-body, intercontinental fleet. FLC aims to restore the fleet to a size of 30 aircraft.
Real estate remains the company's core business. The company reports ownership of 50 projects currently under development and research across various provinces and cities, with key locations including Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri, and Gia Lai. Trinh Van Quyet's company also plans to restart several projects in the near future.
Since early March, FLC also announced that shareholders can "directly and freely trade all shares" through Artex Securities Company. According to FLC, Artex Securities is the direct point of contact for tasks such as updating shareholder registers, issuing share certificates, transfers, inheritances, gifts, or information changes.
