According to FLC, Thang's appointment to the executive board is a strategic personnel move. It aims to enhance FLC's governance and operational capacity as the group accelerates restructuring and simultaneously implements key projects nationwide.
This appointment was announced days after former FLC chairman of the board of directors Trinh Van Quyet reappeared in the business arena following nearly four years of absence. Quyet was arrested in March 2022. His sentence was reduced to 7 years in prison for fraudulent appropriation of property in June 2025.
Currently, Vu Anh Tuan serves as chairman of the board of directors of FLC, while Bui Hai Huyen holds the role of general director.
FLC identifies real estate as its core segment and has restarted many large-scale projects in Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Quang Tri, and Gia Lai. The after-tax profit from the real estate segment last year was estimated at 635 billion VND.
In the aviation sector, FLC re-assumed management rights of Bamboo Airways at the end of September 2025. The company is currently in the process of restoring the airline's operations and scale.
