Gasoline prices fall below 20,000 VND per liter

Gasoline and oil prices (except kerosene) decreased by 40-170 VND per liter from 3 PM today, following an adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance.

The price of RON 95-III gasoline (the most common type on the market) decreased by 170 VND to 19,920 VND per liter. E5 RON 92 also dropped by 170 VND, to 19,480 VND.

Similarly, oil products (except kerosene) decreased by 40-90 VND per liter. Compared to 7 days ago, diesel fell by 40 VND to 18,790 VND per liter; mazut is priced at 15,470 VND.

The adjusted gasoline and oil prices are as follows:

From 1/7, the value-added tax (VAT) on gasoline and oil decreased by 2%, from 10% to 8%, according to a National Assembly resolution.

This year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade allocated a minimum total supply of over 29.5 million m3 of various gasoline and oil products to key traders. In the first half of the year, businesses prepared approximately 13.86 million m3 for the domestic market, equivalent to 47% of the plan. However, actual consumption was 12.6 million m3, resulting in an inventory of about 1.7-1.8 million m3.
