On 28/2, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed gold bar prices at 184 - 187 million VND per tael, marking a ba million VND increase compared to yesterday's closing. Other major brands also quoted similar gold bar prices.
SJC's plain gold ring prices also rose by ba million VND per tael, reaching 183,8 - 186,8 million VND. At Mi Hong, plain gold rings saw a 250,000 VND increase in buying price and a ba million VND jump in selling price, settling at 184,2 - 187 million VND. PNJ's plain gold rings reached 183,8 - 186,8 million VND, while DOJI Group also raised its plain gold ring prices to 183,8 - 186,8 million VND.
The current domestic gold bar price is nearly ba million VND higher than on God of Wealth Day, driven by the upward trend of precious metals in the international market.
International spot gold gained nearly 100 USD (equivalent to 1,8%) in the past 24 hours, reaching 5.278 USD per ounce. Converted at Vietcombank's selling exchange rate, the world gold price is approximately 167 million VND. The disparity between domestic and international gold prices remains high, hovering around 20 million VND per tael.

In the silver market, global prices also climbed 6% to over 93,6 USD per ounce. Domestically, silver bar and ingot prices increased by 4,5% compared to yesterday, reaching approximately ba,5 million VND per tael.
Phu Quy Gold Investment Joint Stock Company and DOJI Group raised silver bar prices to ba,5 - ba,6 million VND, equivalent to 93 - 96 million VND per kilogram. Sacombank - SBJ's silver bar prices remained stable around ba,47 - ba,57 million VND per tael.
This year's God of Wealth Day in the domestic market showed a distinct trend compared to previous years and the same period last year. Many major brands sold 24K gold rings without quantity limits, and the supply of gold bars was significantly more abundant than the previous limited distribution.
Due to high gold prices this year, VnExpress observed that consumers purchased smaller quantities, seeking both good luck for the new year and asset accumulation. Additionally, many people also tended to buy silver on God of Wealth Day.
