HD SAISON receives in-principle approval for conversion to a joint-stock company

HD SAISON received in-principle approval from the State Bank of Vietnam on August 28 for its conversion from a limited liability finance company to a joint-stock finance company.

According to the company, this marks the initial step in the conversion process. HD SAISON will proceed to complete all necessary regulatory procedures before receiving formal approval from the governing body.

"This is a significant step in HD SAISON's development roadmap. We will continue to leverage international experience, our understanding of the domestic market, and technological capabilities to strengthen our competitive edge and create long-term value for customers and partners," a representative from HD SAISON stated.

Operating since 2007, HD SAISON was the first consumer finance company licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam. The company was developed through a partnership between Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) and Credit Saison, a Japanese consumer finance group.

By the end of June 2026, the company served over 17,5 million customers through 28,600 service points nationwide. In the first half of the year, outstanding loans reached 25,500 billion VND, and disbursement volume increased by 34,6% compared to the same period. Pre-tax profit amounted to 804 billion VND, a 13,4% increase.

HD SAISON offers a range of products addressing essential life needs such as: installment loans for vehicles, household appliances; loans for education, healthcare, aesthetics, dental care, weddings, travel; personal consumer loans and international credit cards. The company also provides credit products for electric moto and energy-saving equipment.

With a large customer base, technology and data play a crucial role in operations and service delivery, according to a company representative. HD SAISON has digitized the entire customer journey and uses data to analyze needs, support product development, and personalize financial experiences.

With a charter capital of 2,350 billion VND and a stable ownership structure, HD SAISON remains committed to a growth strategy focused on asset quality and operational efficiency. It also emphasizes strengthening risk management and investing in digital capabilities. This direction is a core component of its Comprehensive Digital Finance strategy, aiming to enhance service quality and reinforce its role as a trusted financial partner for consumers.
