Hermes achieves 4.1 billion euros in revenue for Q1

French fashion house Hermes maintains effective business trajectory by focusing on its elite clientele and the value of its artisanal heritage.

Hermes' financial report for Q1 2026 recorded total group revenue of 4.1 billion EUR (approximately 4.84 billion USD), marking a 6% increase at constant exchange rates.

The brand attributes this result to its agile risk allocation and effective key market exploitation, which has helped maintain a stable revenue structure.

The Americas and Japan continue to be growth drivers for Hermes. Specifically, the American market saw a 17% surge, demonstrating broad reach and sustained appeal among affluent individuals in the region. Japan maintained strong performance with a 10% increase.

In the European market (excluding France), the group maintained double-digit growth. The Middle East region experienced a slight 6% decrease due to geopolitical factors; however, growth in other territories balanced the overall picture.

From a distribution perspective, the direct retail network contributed a 7% increase. Hermes continues to exercise stringent control over the shopping experience and maintains exclusivity by investing in iconic spaces within key markets.

Consistent growth across all product categories demonstrates the effectiveness of Hermes' sustainable development strategy, centered on luxury craftsmanship.

Leather goods and saddlery remain the group's strongest growth pillar. Demand for classic bags like the Birkin and Kelly remains high, with persistent waiting lists in key markets.

Fashion and accessories also saw positive developments, with double-digit growth. Ready-to-wear collections, guided by a talented design team, successfully blended modern utility with luxurious style.

A brand representative stated that the watches and jewelry segment was a notable highlight in this quarter's business performance. By focusing on high-end mechanical watches and jewelry crafted from precious metals combined with colored stones, Hermes successfully deepened its penetration into the collector segment.

Finally, fragrance and cosmetics continued their stable growth trajectory, serving as a crucial entry point for the brand to reach younger, potential customers.

Despite short-term financial market volatility, Hermes' development direction remains unchanged. The group's leadership remains committed to investing in the expansion of its artisanal workshops and retail network, while maintaining its strategy of focusing on customer segments less affected by inflation, thereby strengthening growth momentum throughout 2026.
