How to identify genuine Fluke products and three steps to activate warranty

Users can verify the "genuine warranty product" label, serial number, invoice, and activate genuine Fluke warranty via the Zalo Mini app in three steps.

According to a representative from US-based measurement equipment manufacturer Fluke, the company's products are available on various online platforms, in addition to its network of authorized dealers. These include product lines for both personal and industrial needs, notably Fluke Industrial, Calibration, Networks, Process Instruments, and Condition Monitoring.

"Generally, the price of genuine Fluke products is higher than that of unverified products in the same category. Unusually low-priced items may originate from the grey market, lacking quality assurance", the representative stated.

Fluke announced that purchasing equipment outside official distribution channels exposes users to risks concerning invoices, documents, product quality, warranty rights, and professional support.

Specifically, products might lack a legal VAT invoice, be missing certificates of origin (CO) and quality (CQ), be used, or have an expired warranty. "For high-tech and high-value equipment, these factors can complicate inspection, project acceptance, or technical support during use", the company explained.

Since 1/2/2020, all products distributed by Fluke South East Asia bear a "Genuine Warranty Product" label directly on their packaging. Genuine labels in Vietnam start with the letters "VN".

The company recommends users verify products in three steps: check the label on the device; look up the serial number via the Zalo Mini App "Fluke Viet Nam Official"; and carefully review the VAT invoice along with accompanying legal documents. If this label is not found on the device, users should contact a company representative to verify the origin before using the equipment.

According to the manufacturer's announcement, devices are only eligible for warranty if purchased from an authorized genuine distributor in Vietnam. Therefore, parallel imported or informally imported products, despite lower prices, still pose risks regarding warranty rights.

In Vietnam, Fluke products typically come with a one-year warranty, calculated from the dispatch date at the authorized distributor, as indicated on the invoice. Some products have different warranty periods, which are specifically communicated at the time of purchase. This period is not dependent on the warranty activation date.

Beyond free repairs and component replacement while the product is under warranty, customers who purchase from an authorized distributor receive usage guidance and technical support from Fluke experts.

"For some high-value devices requiring continuous use, we support users by lending alternative equipment during the product's warranty period, subject to availability at that time", the company representative added.

The company also instructs users on three steps to activate the warranty: open the Zalo application on a phone, search for the mini app "Fluke Viet Nam Official"; follow the step-by-step instructions in the app, verify the Zalo phone number, and enter device information; the system will display a successful or unsuccessful activation result immediately on the screen.

The entire activation process takes approximately two minutes. In case of unsuccessful activation, users should recheck the information, verify the product's origin with the seller, or message the Zalo OA "Fluke Viet Nam" for support.

"Both individuals and businesses should check the label, invoice, and documents immediately upon receiving the equipment, and activate the warranty early to ensure their rights during use", a Fluke representative further advised.

Established in 1948 in the US, Fluke develops testing, measurement, and diagnostic equipment for engineers, technicians, and various industries.
