During a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on 3/2, Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives, Mazen Turki El Qadi, affirmed Jordan considers Vietnam an important partner in Asia. Jordan seeks to enhance cooperation, share experiences, and exchange knowledge in areas of mutual strength, particularly agriculture, health, pharmaceuticals, defense industry, cybersecurity, halal, and science and technology.
Speaker El Qadi proposed establishing a free trade zone in Jordan for Vietnamese goods to be exported to the Middle East. He also suggested forming joint ventures in promising sectors.
The Speaker called for continued exchanges of delegations at all levels and the establishment of effective bilateral cooperation mechanisms and frameworks. Both sides aim to establish resident representative offices in each other's capitals, organize Political Consultation Sessions, and form a Vietnam-Jordan Business Cooperation Working Group. Additionally, the two countries will promote the signing of key cooperation agreements on visa exemption, investment protection, and avoidance of double taxation.

Economically, both leaders agreed to boost trade turnover to 500 million USD by 2030 and 1 billion USD by 2035. Vietnam and Jordan will also promote market opening for their strong products, support each other in ensuring food security, and develop the Halal industry.
Friendly and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Jordan is developing positively, especially following the historic visit by King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein in 11/2025. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed confidence that Speaker Mazen Turki El Qadi's visit will significantly contribute to advancing bilateral relations into a new, more substantive, and effective development stage.
Amidst profound global and regional changes, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for Vietnam and Jordan to increase cooperation to open new opportunities.
Prime Minister Chinh affirmed Vietnam's readiness to ensure a stable, quality supply of agricultural and aquatic products for Jordan. He welcomed Jordanian businesses to Vietnam to explore investment and business cooperation opportunities and suggested studying the implementation of Jordan's coral reef anti-salinity intrusion technology in Vietnam.
