This information comes from SSI Securities' recently published ETF bulletin. The week of 14/9-18/9 is projected to be a busy period for foreign exchange traded funds as many portfolios undergo simultaneous restructuring. Concurrently, funds tracking the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (FTSE GEIS) will begin their first disbursement into Vietnamese stocks. SSI Research estimates the total net buying by these ETF groups could reach nearly 245.9 million USD.
Within this capital inflow, Masan Consumer is among the stocks expected to attract demand from various funds. The Fubon & CSOP ETF group may purchase approximately 2.44 million MCH shares, while Vanguard's ETFs mimicking FTSE GEIS are estimated to acquire about 1.54 million shares. VanEck Vietnam ETF could add around 60.000 shares.
Overall, the projected purchase volume is about 4.04 million shares, equivalent to 22.1 million USD. This capital structure indicates that potential demand is not concentrated in a single exchange traded fund but originates from multiple fund groups tracking different index sets.

Restructuring transactions are expected to largely occur on 18/9, before the first phase of including Vietnamese stocks in the FTSE GEIS indices takes effect from 21/9. This development follows a series of changes for MCH in the capital market in recent months.
MCH shares officially joined the VN30 in early August. Subsequently, FTSE Russell added this code to the FTSE Vietnam Index, with the change effective from 21/9. Its simultaneous presence in both the VN30 and FTSE Vietnam Index allows the stock to be tracked by more index funds and mimicking portfolios.
Beyond these confirmed changes, SSI Research also forecasts MCH's potential inclusion in the FTSE Vietnam 30 Index. This possibility remains a forecast and awaits official review results, differing from MCH's already announced addition to the FTSE Vietnam Index.
This series of changes enhances MCH's visibility across major index sets. It also provides a basis for SSI Research to estimate that the stock could attract buying interest from multiple exchange traded funds during the september restructuring period, rather than relying on a single source of capital.
These capital market movements coincide with Masan Consumer's sustained business growth. For the accumulated first seven months of the year, the company's net revenue reached 18.549 billion VND, an increase of 13% compared to the same period. Several product categories continue to record significant growth: convenience food rose 17.6%, driven by Omachi; bottled beverages increased 8%; and the home and personal care segment grew 29%. International business operations also maintained their upward momentum.
The company reported 3.284 billion VND in after-tax profit for the first half of the year, an 11% increase year-over-year. This result demonstrates that the company's growth stems not only from revenue scale but is also sustained in its profit metrics.
