Nearly 160 million VND per tael of gold bars

Gold bar brands sold each tael at 159,8 million VND, an increase of 1,5 million VND compared to yesterday.

On the morning of 10/1, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed gold bar prices at 157,8 - 159,8 million VND per tael, marking a 1,5 million VND increase from yesterday. The difference between the buying and selling price was 2 million VND.

Other major brands made similar adjustments. Consequently, over the past two days, the price of this commodity has risen by 2,6 million VND, returning to its historical peak.

SJC also increased the price of plain gold rings by 1,5 million VND, reaching 154,3 - 156,8 million VND per tael. PNJ and Doji traded this item around 155 - 158 million VND, while Bao Tin Minh Chau bought and sold plain gold rings at 156,8 - 159,8 million VND per tael.

Domestic gold prices rose in line with international trends. At the close of trading on 9/1, each ounce of gold on the international market increased by 31,6 USD, reaching 4.508 USD. Converted using Vietcombank's exchange rate, world gold was equivalent to 143,4 million VND per tael, a difference of over 16 million VND compared to domestic prices.

Domestic silver bar prices also saw a 1,5% increase today. Phu Quy Gold Investment Joint Stock Company listed this item at 3,00 - 3,09 million VND per tael. Sacombank - SBJ traded around 3,04 - 3,12 million VND.
